About us
Indubitable is made by Cislyn, Todd, and Rich, three friends who met in college thirty years ago. Cislyn dreamed up the idea and played the very first version, and now the three of us are building it together.
We wanted a daily puzzle with more variety than one format, where every puzzle is fair: one solution, found by reasoning, never by guessing. So we're building it. Here is what you can count on from us.
No ads. Ever.
Indubitable will never show you an ad: no banners, no videos, no "watch this to continue." Your attention is yours, and it isn't for sale. You pay once, and you get the whole game.
A fair price from a small team
We're not a studio and we have no investors. We set our price to cover our time and keep the lights on, not to get rich. If Indubitable takes off, we'll lower the price.
Honest about AI
We use AI tools to help us write Indubitable's code, and we'd rather tell you than have you wonder.
Between the three of us, we have the skills to build every part of this app by hand. What we don't have is the time. Time is the one thing none of us can make more of, whoever we are. For us, AI is a way to get some back: think of it as virtual time.
We spend that time where it matters most to you: making Indubitable beautiful, smooth, and fun; making sure every puzzle is a good one; and being here to answer questions, fix what's broken, and hear what you'd like next.
Here's how we keep the quality ours:
- People review everything. Nothing ships until one of us has read and tested it.
- The puzzles don't come from AI. They're built by classic, step-by-step algorithms, which work through each puzzle the way a careful solver would.
- Every puzzle maker is checked by computer. We test each generator against an exhaustive search to confirm that its puzzles have exactly one solution. We're working toward mathematical proofs of that, checked by the Lean proof assistant.
- No AI in the app, and no AI art. The app contains no AI, and our artwork is made by artists we pay.
Your privacy is yours
No accounts, no tracking, no data collection. The app never connects to the internet, and your progress stays on your device. Read the privacy policy.
Easy on the eyes
All three of us read small text all day. When we sit down to play, we want big type and rested eyes, and we suspect you do too. So Indubitable supports larger text, VoiceOver, and Dark Mode, and never relies on color alone. If anything gets in your way, tell us.
